Azimuth

OVERDRIVE
Description
Delivering smooth and touch-sensitive overdrive tones, the Azimuth Dynamic Overdrive replicates the classic Hermida Zendrive circuit intended to emulate Dumble-style amplifier response. The architecture begins with an op-amp clipping stage using MOSFET and Schottky diodes, followed by a variable treble cut and output buffer. Frequency response and gain structure are shaped via dedicated Gain, Tone, Volume, and Voice controls, with the Voice potentiometer altering the filter corner frequency and saturation level. Housed in a compact enclosure with true bypass switching, the design prioritizes high dynamic headroom with a low overall component count.Media
