Description
Manufactured between 1979 and 1982, the unit functions as an automatic volume swell processor that dynamically attenuates the initial attack of an instrument's signal. An internal envelope detector tracks pick transients and commands an optical photocoupler or variable resistance network to ramp volume upward smoothly. The circuit mimics the effect of manually rolling a guitar's volume knob or utilizing a volume pedal to generate violin-like bowed and ambient textures. Front-panel controls consist of a Sens potentiometer to calibrate the input triggering threshold to picking dynamics, along with an Attack potentiometer to adjust the rise time of the volume swell.Media
